I worked for 11 1/2 hours today. I worked to some degree on 18 returns — several of them big messy multi-million dollar returns — getting 7 of them far enough along for review. For most of the day, my brain was laser focused on organizing info, writing notes and emails, and reviewing that numbers matched.
But the important part is… now I’m baking brownies (Thinking of Kristi Dorney, as always when baking brownies). And finishing up Dungeon Crawler Carl book 3 on audio. Gotta find some pleasure where you can in the last two weeks of tax season. Especially using senses other than my poor tired eyes.
Also, when Peter and I dashed to the grocery store between showers this evening, we were treated to a magnificent rainbow. The photos don’t do it justice for how bright and sharp it was. We felt like we could reach out and touch it.
