Back to my original politics

For years, like many Americans, I’ve reacted to the dumbest disparaging shit that the Republicans and Trumpers have said about the FBI and military and police and CIA… and have found myself *defending* the integrity of these groups. That I had grown up learning to distrust. I remember as we put a “Vote the Prosecutor, Not the Felon” sign up, thinking that my dad would’ve laughed and been horrified.

But now, after supporting these centrist Dems for so long, I’m back to my true roots: distrust law enforcement, be wary of the government, Fuck the patriarchy.

My dad would approve.
