new family tradition!
Instead of focusing on the number of years for a birthday, this year our family has begun to celebrate the successes and triumphs of the past year. @sean.brodrick is the first birthday of the year in our family.
Our daughter @empressacadia made this fabulous carrot cake with macaron decorations. I wrote some of Sean’s accomplishments of the past year on wooden stars attached to wooden dowels. No candles to blow out! And a record of successes to keep afterward.
Packing up 23 years of a family and moving was a huge accomplishment. As was getting Peter comfortable enough to pass his driving test last spring.
